Many of us participate in gathering funds for drones and vehicles for AUF, but there is another battle that Ukrainians and our allies abroad have been neglecting.
Although we exert influence internationally through media campaigns, the most effective way of influencing government in democracies is through direct contact with elected officials.
To remind them that voters stand with Ukraine, and ask that specific steps be taken, activists made actionforukraine.org: it lists the priority & instructions for how to contact your representative in your country, all in <1min.
Why does this work?
A politician/party seeks to be reelected. When a voter contacts his/her own representative in parliament, aides record what the voter requested. A voter can make it clear that his/her vote in upcoming elections depends on the politician's stance on Ukraine, and ask to receive a response outlining the politician's position. Actionforukraine.org enables you to do precisely this, in less than 1 minute. This is one of the most effective methods used by lobbying organizations in France, Germany, and especially the US.
